| Matt’s passion for singing and for Barbershop comes from growing up in Barbershop family. For over 35 years, Matt’s mom (Ginny) has been singing with Sweet Adelines International, in various Top 10 International Championship Choruses. Matt joined the Barbershop Harmony Society in the fall of 2002 while attending Johnson & Wales University. As a member of the Providence Rhode Island Chapter, he quickly developed a desire to be in a quartet after befriending Mike Maino. He held various chapter officer positions and was a member of their music team as the baritone section leader. Over the course of the 11 years Matt has had the pleasure to compete with several quartets at the District and International Prelim level. Matt also had the great fortune to sing with Mike Maino as a baritone in a quartet called Jones & Co., where they placed in the top 10 in the Northeastern District.
In the spring of 2008, Matt took a job with Deloitte LLP in the New York City Metro area to which he now calls home. He joined Voices of Gotham in February of 2009. He held duel membership for 2 years and stayed active in both the Providence and Hell’s Kitchen Chapter. While singing with Gotham, he had the pleasure of serving as the 2012 Treasurer. Matt recently moved from baritone to lead. He is the former lead of Double Windsor and the current lead of On Tap due to make their first District debut in Ocean City, MD. In addition to his day job he is an adjunct Professor for the University of Phoenix.
In his limited spare time he enjoys spending time with friends, his 2 dog’s Callie and Parker, his cat Nala, and his Fiancé Mike.
