Braden started his lifelong love with barbershop in Middle School after being invited to a Harmony Explosion Camp by a family friend. His first quartet was with his brother and two other friends (who were cousins - it's a small town) which was never officially named but sang throughout high school.
Braden officially joined the society after moving to NYC following college in 2008, joining both the Big Apple Chorus and Voices of Gotham and maintaining dual membership through 2010. He has served on the board for almost the entire history of VoG, including as president from 2011 through 2012. This period saw VoG win their first District Championship and make their first competitive appearance at International in Portland. He currently serves as the chorus's Music and Performance Vice President.
As a quartetter, Braden is a 3-time M-AD Collegiate Quartet champion first with Next Stop (twice) and with the Frat Pack, both as Bass. He also is a 3-time Northern Division Quartet Champion with his current quartet Flatiron Four singing bass as well (highest District finish - 5th in 2011).
In his career, Braden is a digital project manager for a leading healthcare marketing agency in NYC overseeing the development and financials of interactive brand materials. A graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, he is also a member of the national music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
