The Standing Ovation Program
The Mid-Atlantic District is pleased to offer the Standing Ovation Program by which the quality of a quartet or chorus is
observed and assessed by a qualified Reviewer. Performing for the public is a integral part of who we are and what we do.
Standing Ovation was developed some years ago as a way for quartets and choruses to obtain a voluntary review and set of
recommendations for achieving a higher level of performance. This may be an annual show, holiday show, or any performance
at a retirement community or local community event.
The Mid-Atlantic District encourages quartets and chouses to take advantage of this program. It involves inviting a
trained Standing Ovation Reviewer to attend a show or performance. The Reviewer observes and evaluates all aspects.
This includes facility access, parking, lobby ambiance, ticket availability, song choice, performance quality, audience
appeal, and much more. The Reviewer shares their evaluation post performance and offer suggestions for practical improvement.
