Tony began singing Barbershop Harmony in 1973 as a member of his high school glee-club, which was directed by Tom Cogan - who went on to work for the Society in 1977. Naturally, the glee club sang Barbershop! He Joined the Albany, NY Fort Orangemen in 1975 (now defunct). In 1976, he went off to school in Rochester, NY and joined the Chorus of the Genesee where he competed at the 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980 International Chorus Competitions. He moved back to Albany, NY in 1981 and began singing with the Saratoga Springs, NY Racing City Chorus, competing at international in 1983. After that, he dropped out of the society to begin his career, have a family and return to school, but has always been a great fan of the music.
Tony now works in Newburgh, NY and was looking to rejoin the Society. Fortunate for him, he found the Westchester Chordsmen in 2019 and has been having a ball singing four-part harmony again.
