The SOUND REVIVAL was organized in the spring of 1973. In 1976 they won the coveted Mid-Atlantic District
Quartet Championship. Over a twelve year career, they represented the District at eight International Competitions,
achieving semi-finalist rankings on five occasions. Although the quartet retired in 1985, all four have remained
active in the Society. In 1997, a reunion was sparked by an invitation from the Chorus of the Chesapeake for them
to appear on the occasion of the Dundalk, MD Chapter's annual Boat Ride. Since then they have had several
reunions singing on Chapter shows.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 1976 MAD championship, they decided to enter the seniors competition.
They won that contest in March of 2001, earning the right to represent the District at the International Seniors Competition
in January of 2002, in Riverside, CA. They placed third in that contest, winning the bronze medal.
