Shoo-doop, shooby-doo…The sound of the 50’s street corner A Capella Doo-Wop music that TimeFrame loves to sing. TimeFrame quartet was formed in 2001 by four members of the Reading Pretzel City Chorus to sing four-part harmony, featuring Barbershop, A Capella Doo-Wop, and Gospel songs. Along the way, the quartet lost our original Lead to a new family and a new home. We also lost our original Tenor to God’s will. We re-organized the quartet in 2007, with a new Tenor and a new Lead as featured below:
John Taylor, Tenor, is an 8-year Reading Pretzel City Chorus member, with a total of 11 years in the Barbershop Harmony Society. John recently retired from Aydin Displays Inc. where he had worked for the past 10 years as a Quality Control Manager. He and his wife Terry, have been married for 30 years, and they have a son, Patrick, and daughter, Katie.
Louie Albert, Lead, is a 7-year member of the Reading Pretzel City Chorus. Louie has also recently retired from Tray-Pak in Temple, where he worked for 39 years as a truck driver. He was a volunteer firefighter for 30 years with the City of Reading, attaining the rank of Captain. Louie and Chorus Manager Larry Moyer Sr., were DJ’s for 20 years with L & L Sound Entertainment. Cindy, Louie’s wife of 46 years, and daughters Dawn and Lori, are his biggest supporters. His grandchildren are the light of his life.
Harold Graeff, Bass, has been a member of the Reading Pretzel City Chorus for 50 years, joining the Barbershop Harmony Society and the Chorus in 1965 at the age of 17. He has also sung in the “Schuylkill Squires”, “Class of 65”, and “Penn Tonics” quartets. He is a retired Registered Professional Electrical Engineer. Harold and his wife, Pat, have a daughter, Cheryl, and love traveling with their two Yorkies, Bowzer and Bella.
Arlan Davis, Baritone, is a 32-year member of the Reading Pretzel City Chorus. Arlan has also sung with “Country Rendition”, “Grande Olde Tyme”, and “Class of 65” quartets. Besides singing with the Reading Chorus, Arlan also sings bass with the Pottstown Chorus. Arlan is retired from F. M. Brown & Sons, Inc. in Sinking Springs. He and his wife, Debbie, have a son, Scott, a daughter, Karen and five grandchildren. And in his “spare” time, Arlan sings with the West Lawn United Methodist Church choir.
So if you should happen to hear that shoo-doop, shooby-doo echoing softly in a hallway, you can bet that TimeFrame is close at hand.
