A Barbershop Quartet You Can Bet On…
Casino is a unique blend of friendship, music, and a common love
of Barbershop singing. Formed in the spring of 1997, these four voices rose
quickly in competition, taking third place in their first district contest, and
qualifying for the society’s international contest their first time around.
Mike Wallen -
A 25 year member of the society, Mike already had two District Quartet
Championships, once as lead with Alexandria’s Ragtime Band, and once as baritone
with Copyright
86. Finally, with CASINO, he’s won his third voice part as our
tenor. Mike is the Director of the Richmond, VA Chapter.
Scott Disney
- Starting his barbershop career at the age of eight, Scott is a third
generation barbershopper. His quartet
debut was with Jeopardy,
a Second Place District Champion quartet. As the lead of our quartet, he adds
that special characteristic sound that makes us uniquely CASINO. Scott and his wife Nancy are the proud new parents of a bouncing
baby Sweet Adeline named Abigail.
Michael Gellert
- Our baritone, Michael, started singing with the society in 1968. He took 15
years off to develop his talents while singing with the Baltimore Opera. He is instrumental in developing CASINO’s
sound. Michael directs the Elkridge Sweet
Adelines, a championship Sweet Adeline chorus.
Mike Kelly -
Mike has been singing bass since the age of
15. With CASINO
as his fifth registered quartet, Mike also sang bass in Risky Business and with Scotty in Jeopardy.
Mike is the Director of the Knights of Harmony Chorus, in Bowie, MD.
Together,
Mike, Scott, Michael & Mike create an exciting sound combining
over 80 years of experience. Listen to CASINO as they sing for you, their
special brand of music, Barbershop with a little something extra. ENJOY!
